IGN UK interviews Game Director
IGN UK spoke to Game Director Craig Morrison about Age of Conan and how the game compares to other AAA MMO titles out there.
IGN: Let's start off with more general questions. You recently took over as game director at Funcom after longtime employee Gaute Godager left the company. How's the transition been and have you made any major changes to the way things work? Is there a new focus or direction?
Craig Morrison: I think the transition has been quite smooth. I have been in the company some time and already knew the majority of team so there wasn't any sweeping changes as it were. There was going to be a natural transition anyway as the developers moved from production of a launch title to getting set up for ongoing development which has different considerations as it is. Given my background with a live MMO, I think I was able to help that process along for sure, but we haven't radically changed anything in that regard. In terms of direction, I usually look at things in a very straightforward way.
